The Miscellaneous » Help branch of Settings has the following options.
This setting will cause the application to show the file name only (not the path) in the application title bar. If this is not selected the file path and name will be displayed (default).
This setting animates configuration dialogs both in Settings and (in UEStudio) Project settings.
If selected, and multiple files are selected at once in Windows Explorer, and UltraEdit / UEStudio is selected from the Explorer context menu, all selected files will be opened in a single new instance. If this option is not selected, each file selected may be opened in a separate instance.
This option controls whether or not a separate, new instance of the application is opened when the applicaiton is already running and you open a file via Explorer double-click, Explorer context menu, or command line. This also controls whether a new instance is opened each time you click the application shortcut. If this option is not enabled only a single instance of the editor is opened, and any additional requests result in the first instance becoming active with the new file loaded in addition to any files already open.
If this option is selected, all files opened from external applications (like a file manager or zip file utility) will be assigned a unique, separate process (visible in Windows task manager) until the file or application is closed. This setting may be required if you frequently open files from third party applications that "watch" for other processes to end after handing the file off to those processes. This option cannot be selected if Allow multiple instances is enabled.
If selected, the active file path is shown in the title bar before the application name. If this is not selected, the application name is shown before the active file path.
If this option is selected, the application will automatically check for the availability of updates every 10 days.
If this option is selected, pressing the ESC key will exit full screen mode.
