The SSH / telnet console is a dockable child window that allows you to connect to servers via SSH or telnet. In order to do this, you must first set up an account in the SSH / telnet accounts dialog. You can do this by clicking the Accounts button.

The drop down at the top of the SSH / telnet window allows you to select one of your configured accounts. You can then press the Connect button to connect to the server. This button changes to Disconnect once connected.

Once connected to the server, you can type directly into the window to issue command line / terminal commands to the server, just as you would in a normal SSH or telnet session.

You can create multiple SSH / telnet connections in the SSH / telnet window by right-clicking on the active session tab at the bottom of the window and selecting "Add terminal."

If configured in the account settings, all text during your SSH / telnet session is logged into a plain text file and stored in the location specified in the account settings. By default, logging is enabled, and the default location for the log files is the INI file location, which by default is %APPDATA%\IDMComp\UltraEdit or %APPDATA%\IDMComp\UEStudio.
