The "Customize" dialog used for Quick Access Toolbar and ribbon customization

You can customize the Quick Access Toolbar by right-clicking on it and selecting "Customize Quick Access Toolbar..." from the context menu. This will open the "Customize" dialog, as shown to the right.

To add buttons to the Quick Access Toolbar, select them from the Commands list in the left column. To see all available commands, select "All commands" in the Choose commands from drop down. Commands are sorted alphabetically in this list, and you can search and jump to commands by quickly typing their names while focus is in this list. You will also see any named macros and scripts available to be added as well, if any are loaded.

With a command selected, click the Add > > button to add it to the Quick Access Toolbar. Use the ▲ and ▼ arrow buttons on the far right to rearrange the order of icons in the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the < < Remove to remove the selected item from the Quick Access Toolbar.

The <Separator> item in the commands list is a special item that you can use any number of times in the Quick Access Toolbar. Adding this will insert a thin vertical separator line in its place. This can be useful if you want to logically organize items in the Quick Access Toolbar.

You can always revert the Quick Access Toolbar back to its default state by clicking the Reset button.
